Back to work!

I'm back from a most fabulous vacation with my family! We went on a six state road trip that included visits to two national parks- Mesa Verde National Park and Grand Canyon, a wedding and visits with family in the Denver area, the Denver Zoo, the Larkspur Renaissance Festival, and a date with my husband to a sports bar in downtown Denver to hang out with my cousin Ben and his girlfriend. Great fun! You can see some of the photos on my photoblog and all of my photos here if you like. First on my agenda is catching up on three weeks of email. New Launch: Concept 9!

Today we are proud to announce another new launch, Concept9.ca! This was a quickie Wordpress Theme & Content Entry job (plus hosting of course) for a client who came to me panicked because she had hired another designer and they had some sort of conflict and she came out of it website-less. I hate hearing these types of stories- and in actuality I hear them all too frequently. (And then have to try and comfort and reassure frightened customers- oh but that's another post altogether, isn't it!) I squished her into my currently hectic schedule, but I think it came out nice all the same! And I LOVE her products! I would have bought every single one of them when I was gestating and nursing. I tell ya, you have to go look at these adorable maternity and nursing accessories! Her nursing covers are WAY cuter than any I ever ...

New Launch: Twist of Fate Yarns!

Today we went live with a new e-commerce website and coordinating blog for Twist of Fate Yarns! Twist of Fate Yarns is located in Camloops, BC, Canada and specializes in all things spinning, knitting, weaving and felting and carries hand dyed and hand spun yarns, fibers and tools. I tell ya, I could hardly work for all the drooling I was doing over her beautiful products.. of which she still has many more to enter once she gets back from her current show.... Check it out! Custom Wedding Invitation for Juel

Here is the wedding invitation I designed for Juel this week: I will also be creating custom return address labels for Juel's invitations, a photo slideshow for Juel's wedding reception and shooting her wedding in October. I can't wait! Weddings are my favorite. :)

On taking a break…

I don't know if anybody noticed, but I forgot to send out our May newsletter! Well, I guess I didn't actually forget... it was more like I procrastinated.. but here we are nearing the end of May and still no newsletter. AND, wow have I been unproductive on the business front lately! For months and months I worked like a crazy woman, completing 20 sites in in just over six months and promoting this business daily. And then BLAM one day I decided I couldn't go on. I just couldn't. My illness of five months and constant harried work schedule kicked my behind! Like I've been saying over at my personal blog, my creative well is empty. I guess this happens frequently to creative types- so if you are the sort you know what I'm saying. I found myself with nothing left to give. And so I've been taking a break ...
